| 9-9:50am: An in depth discussion of case law interpreting the MCS-90 insurance endorsement including the FMCSA regulatory interpretation; when and how does the MCS-90 apply and when not. |
| 10-10:50am: Legal issues at the loading dock: premises liability; OSHA regulations and forklifts; truckers, lumpers, warehousemen and property owners-where do the duties lie? |
| 11-11:50am: When an accident occurs involving a container and a chassis a whole host of issues arises involving liability of ocean carriers, motor carriers, lessors and equipment owners. We will examine State regulations, proposed Federal rules and Court decisions to better understand this expanding area of the law. |

| 1-1:50pm: A survey of the current state of the law on placard liability and statutory employment, the independent contractor rule with its Restatement exceptions, nondelegable duties, vicarious liability and the Graves Amendment. |
| 2-2:50: Third parties involved in trucking litigation include freight brokers, logistic providers and shippers. We will examine court decisions involving all including cases of negligent hiring, entrustment and selection. |
| 2:50-3:10: Break |
| 3:10-4pm: European law and practice when it comes to front, side and rear underrun protection on tractors and trailers as well as enhanced cab construction protecting truck drivers in rollover collisions. Discussion of the present state of American law on these matters. |
| 4:10-5pm: Federal regulation of Commercial trucking by way of the FMCSRs is extensive. Regulations involving driver training and qualification, loading practices, equipment use, log retention will be discussed. |
